ALCÁZAR OF THE CHRISTIAN MONARCHS
The Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs is a military building in the city of Córdoba, Spain, located on one of the banks of the River Guadalquivir. The monarch Alfonso XI of Castile ordered its construction in 1328 on the old Andalusian Alcazar, former residence of the Roman governor and customs. The architectural complex has a sober exterior and a splendid interior, with magnificent gardens and courtyards that maintain a Mudejar inspiration.
